Such wonderful sound quality. I was at this show and it was awesome. Brings me right back there and that is a good thing because my memories are clouded for some reason. Long Live the Grateful Dead! Miss you Jerry and RIP

Year two of what would become an annual tradition - the New Year's run in Oakland. I would argue there is no better run - the boys were home and slept (?) in their own beds, there was predicatbility to the process and then there was the New Year show to cap it all off. Big, big fun.

Subject: pretty good

There are some great moments but a lot of vocal lapses and a few musical ones as well. Certainly worth hearing and delightful at points but not in the class of others that are just 'on' the whole way through.

Subject: Great improv in this one

Not an unusual set list but the heart of the second set is pure liquid with a fantastic abstract jam after Eyes melting through a wonderful short drums>space into a hot Wheel. And it will not be easy to find an audience recording from 1980 better than these joanies.

Subject: I still remember.....

....this show as if were last week. I remember that The Wheel was Epic! It's so funny how certain shows are ingrained in my memory. I remember having a really splendid time that night. All my close friends were with me and we downstairs and not a care in the world. We got to let the music reign supreme and a good time was had by all. Subject: I believe in AUDs!

This set of recordings from Joani Walker and Paul Scotton have revitilized my interest in AUDs. The sound quality is EXCELLENT. Very clear, rich highs and clear bass. Definitely recorded in the "Sweet Spot"! I'd give 5 stars for the sound.

The show is fun too, 4 star for the show.

Subject: Charlie Miller for Deadhead of the Year!!!!

Very nice show, nothing extraordinary about the performance but the job Charlie Miller has done with this is phenomonal. Excellent sound that gives you a seat right up front on the floor.

Almost done listening to this, up to Truckin now.
Definetely that high energy end of the year feel to the show. Everyone is on, so the tunes are well played just nothing jaw dropping.

Subject: It's a Miller

I have not listened to this yet, but i can assure that the sound is at the least good. Anything that Miller touches sounds gold. I have almost come to prefer a Miller Mix to a Remastered Release
